The Impossebulls - Back To It b/w 5 x 5
You had to know that we wouldn’t half-step for Netlabel Day, right? Well we sho-nuff did not. On top of the NINE releases we have for you today (which is dope in and of itself) we’ve got a FRESH new maxBloc by The Impossebulls, and one that features yet another hip-hop legend from the golden era! Yeah… do you remember that legendary crew from the 80s, Stetsasonic? Of course you do… if you don’t you’re new to this hip-hop thing. Well Stet’s own Daddy-O hooked up with the Bulls to help deliver the infectious and fierce new joint “Back To It”! Crazy, right?!? Of course, if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got some other alternate versions / remixes of goodies from the forthcoming album “The Devils You Know” and something that was previously only available on cassette, featuring CM aka Create and DJ Def Chad. So, word… we delivered and hope you dig the sounds.
Infinite thanks to The Impossebulls for bringing some incredible new music to blocSonic for Netlabel Day! Even more thanks to the legendary Daddy-O for being a part of what we do… for real! I’m so happy to announce that today we launch a terrific new series of releases that’s designed to give back to the Creative Commons community who has been so good to us over the years. The new samplePack series is blocSonic’s own format for distributing very liberally licensed samples that creators can use however they’d like… all we ask is that the samplePack artist and blocSonic are credited. That’s right, every release in the series is licensed with a very sample friendly CC-BY license.
