Shred Lexicon

Shred Lexicon is writer, editor, and recording/performing artist located in New York City. Shred emerged on the New York underground hip-hop scene in the late 1990s as part of Regenerated Headpiece, with which he released three albums and played more than 100 dates. Regenerated Headpiece’s second album, Dogfight, was named one of the 10 best albums of 2003 by Newsday and their third album, The New Animal, featured contributions from Chuck D of Public Enemy and was praised by Robert Christgau, the dean of American rock critics, in his 2009 Consumer Guide. More recently Shred has featured on Regenerated Headpiece alum Headsnack’s solo debut, Secret Handshake, and performed on a dozen recordings with freeform improvisational musical collective Eli and the Mannings.
