Donnie Ozone Reminds You Your Voice Matters
Brooklyn’s resident old-school flow merchant, Donnie Ozone, is back with his 24th blocSonic drop — and his fourth of the year alone. The man doesn’t slow down. "Something to Say" lands today as a fresh uniDrop… a one-track surprise from a guy whose pen has been a fixture around here since 2016.
Quick recap for the newcomers. Donnie’s the alternative rap fixture who built his name uploading Creative Commons acapellas to ccMixter back in 2012… voice-for-hire to producers worldwide, eventually finding his home base on the Bloc. He’s collabed with everyone from UK producer SKOL to half our roster. He hosts Tha Bloc Report. He shows up every Netlabel Day without fail. Dude IS the community.
“Something to Say” is exactly what the title promises. A statement. A reminder. A nod to anyone who’s ever wondered if their voice mattered while shouting into the algorithmic void. Spoiler: it does.
Yo Donnie! Thank you for another TASTY uniDrop! More fly ish for fans to enjoy!
Of course, thanks once again to you for downloading & listening. We always strive to deliver the music you’ll love. Please spread the word about blocSonic, if you enjoy what we do. Remember… everything we release is cool to share! Always keep the music moving… share it… blog it… podcast it! If you’re in radio… support independent music and broadcast it!
Peace
