Today marks the release of Silentnovelle (Chillage Special Edition), a deep-cut chapter from Tha Silent Partner that finally steps out of the archive and into the light.
This collection traces back to TSP’s early experimental years, when curiosity outweighed certainty and new directions felt risky but necessary. During that time, connections formed with Mick and Paul Chillage through This Side Music and their XFM show The Chillage Idiots. A handful of these pieces made it onto the airwaves, friendships followed, and what you’re hearing now is the result of that creative overlap.
Most of these compositions lived quietly for years—shared first with trusted ears, sometimes released, often not. Life intervened, confidence wavered, and the path shifted. Some projects were shelved. Others, like this one, waited patiently for the right moment and the right home.
That home, once again, is blocSonic.
With Silentnovelle (Chillage Special Edition), TSP revisits a formative era without revisionist polish or apology. It’s reflective without being nostalgic, personal without explanation, and unapologetically intact. The title nods to masked narratives and quiet realizations—those moments where you recognize the room, the roles, and the people who’ve been there before.
This release also marks a milestone: 60 releases deep at blocSonic. Not many artists can point to a catalog this broad, this restless, and this consistently exploratory.
Today, Silentnovelle (Chillage Special Edition) is officially available. No footnotes. No rewrites. Just a long-overdue chapter, now exactly where it belongs.

December Vibes, blocSonic Style: Episode 88
As 2025 slows up, Tha Bloc Report hits December with Episode 88 - dropping just right, like a solid year-end vibe should: bold, full of tracks, brought together by the real sound of the blocSonic world.
As usual, Donnie Ozone’s at the helm - this time guiding us through fresh tracks while quietly showing off how stacked blocSonic’s backlog really is. Fresh drops land next to old-school staples, throw-in favorites, or that rare kind of session where twenty minutes fly by before you know it.
Donnie dives headfirst into new tracks by Moki Mcfly, EATM, Tha Silent Partner, alongside Timezone Lafontaine, cherry-picking standout cuts from drops spread across October, November, right into December's first weeks. This mix gives you a clear snapshot of blocSonic’s recent groove - artists pushing ahead, steady jams rolling out, plus a growing lineup that somehow still holds tight to its core.
Holiday feels show up now and then, thanks to picks by Donnie Ozone and The Impossebulls - seasonal hints mixed in but never taking over. Keeps it light, just right, fits perfectly.
Then again, you’ve got the 20-minute workout. Timezone Lafontaine drops another high-energy mix - sixteen songs packed tight - sourced straight from the blocSonic stash. Since these sessions hit, they’ve shaped Tha Bloc Report’s core; this one proves it again: sharp track order, steady drive, while linking old-school vibes with fresh cuts without skipping a beat.
Episode 88? It’s just another small win. Way back in September 2018, it started off quiet-like with Pot-C from Cheese N Pot-C at the wheel. Over time, Tha Bloc Report turned into something people look forward to every month - those who love finding new sounds, trust routine, and live for open-share beats. When Donnie took over in October 2022, things didn’t skip a beat. Now we’re sitting on episode eighty-eight, still moving.
December’s show isn’t about wrapping up 2023 with a bow. It skips the recap, goes straight to capturing how blocSonic feels right now - busy, full of different sounds, yet holding on to the original spark that started it all.
