aitänna77, the solo project of Spanish musician Mikel Martínez, released his debut “Health Needs” in 2007. Moving from folktronica to bedroom pop and then to cloud-rap, he decided to reconsider his sound in 2012, after his third album, “El Drama Del Descenso”
Thus, three years later, “Patterns For Smartness” introduced this new approach, a collection of dreamy and ethereal songs (Boards Of Canada, Broadcast) that for his fifth and last album “Any Place But Here” collided with the raw and organic beat making technique of producers like Madlib or RZA. His new album “Memory Lane” keeps exploring both worlds, always with a hazy and gloomy feeling.
