- Why free music? I think that each and every artist who spends hours and days on his creative work, sooner or later wants to present that work to people. Of course I’m making music for myself, there’s nothing that I’d rather do... it’s a passion. I just can’t live without music. I put everything in it, all my heart, my money and my time. Though, at the end of the day I want my music to be heard. I want millions of people to listen to it. I don’t care if I get paid for it or not. if I know that someone on the other side of the globe listens to my stuff and starts nodding their head, I’m extremely happy! The internet makes it possible to reach people in each and every country. That’s a beautiful thing!
- Reading your bio, it’s quite apparent that rhythmic, funky music is in your blood. My question is this... what influences did you get from the Rock world, if any? When I grew up, many of my friends were into grunge, metal and crossover. They used to listen to Rage Against the Machine, The Judgement Day soundtrack, Body Count, Nirvana, Guns ‘N Roses and of course Metallica. I started appreciating that kind of music more and more. I think that Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” is one of the greatest songs EVER! Though, my all-time favorite has gotta be the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They’re probably the best band on earth!
- For an American who was rarely exposed to non-english music during the 80s... what non-english obscure 80s pop treat can you recommend? That’s easy. Kraftwerk’s “Die roboter” is by far one of my favs of the 80s. As a child I was scared of it’s vocoder vocals. I thought it was a monster singing! My mother knew that and began blackmailing me with this it! She said “If you don’t eat everything on that plate I’ll put on ‘Die roboter’!!!” That wasn’t pedagogically useful but I guess that reinforced my musical taste to the fullest! Thanx mommy!
- What was the last free netaudio album you downloaded and listened to? I highly recommend Sébastien GRAMOND from jamendo.com! I love his work! All of his “Homeworks” albums feature the greatest 70s style progressive rock with a funky twist. That’s some impressive musicality! ()
- Falco or Taco? I’ll stick with the Mexican food. I just love a good hot salsa sauce!
