New Release: netBloc Volume 55 maintains the Cultural Constant!

Over 14 years ago, well before we became a netlabel / record label in our own right, we launched blocSonic specifically as a home for our netBloc series of compilations. netBlocs have always been about shining a spotlight on quality netlabels, netaudio artists & open or Creative Commons licensed music. Even if, over the years, many of our netlabel allies are no longer actively releasing music, we carry on being the standard-bearer for this culture that has its roots in the demoscene. As long as labels and artists are releasing music licensed with CC licenses that allow derivatives, we’ll continue to release these compilations that we’re incredibly proud of.

Today we continue the tradition with netBloc Vol. 55: Cultural Constant. In it you’ll find 10 amazing and eclectic tracks from netlabels and independent artists all over the world who continue to embrace the Creative Commons license! One of those songs is by blocSonic’s own Me As In You aka mGee aka Mike Gregoire (founding owner of blocGLOBAL / blocSonic). Enjoy this advance taste of his forthcoming EP “What'cha Wanna Do” that’s set to drop on April 2nd.
