Mr. & Mrs. Smith “Taxidermy: Brought Back To Life”
I first heard the unique country-soaked folk sounds of Hollis Smith aka Mr. & Mrs Smith back in 2013 via WFMU’s Free Music Archive. Immediately I was drawn to the directness and integrity of the music. While I’m not usually a country fan, there are artists who exude an honesty in their music that gives their sound a more universal quality. For me, Johnny Cash was one of those artists and Mr. & Mrs. Smith is also.
Long time blocSonic listeners may already be familiar with the Mr. & Mrs Smith sound from our netBloc series and our INTRO series.
