4 - Red Unit - Farmer
I tend not to steer toward electronic music quite as much as I do other genres. Not due to a lack of appreciation for electronic music, but due to the fact that much electronic music tends to rehash the same tired beats and sounds. Sometimes though, something sets itself apart so much that it makes electronic music a treat to listen to again. This is one of those tracks. Something about the concept of Red Unit’s music is intriguing. Exploring the soundscape of early communist China turns out to be quite a beautiful thing. This track stands out for me as the pinnacle of the ‘Commune’ release.
