Today we’re happy to present to you OW!!! (or the more algorithm/search friendly OWTRIPLEBANG). Coming to us out of Portland, Oregon, not much is known beyond the following facts… Born on the East Coast. Years 15-25 deep in the Punk-Rock/HC scene. Lots of bands, lots of shows, lots of records. Moved to Portland, Oregon. From 25 yrs old to current age, straight hermit lifestyle. Making music solo, in the basement, with cheap equipment, and little know-how.
OW!!! is influenced by the likes of… Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground, Motown, Crass, Kraftwerk, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Public Enemy & NEU!.
With the debut album Shake Hands With Danger, OW!!! manages to carve out a unique electronic sound that at times reminds us of recent Radiohead, but at times something else altogether. Regardless of what you’re reminded of when listening, chances are high that this album will be listened to again & again. Enjoy. Welcome to the era of OW!!!.
